About Tamzin

Proud to be neurodivergent.
Passionate about helping others thrive.

Tamzin Reid, neurodiversity coach and educator

My Journey

I have coached for over 30 years across two sporting disciplines.
Coaching has always been part of who I am.
But, long before I coached others, I was learning how to understand myself.

I am dyslexic.

Dyslexia is not something I “overcame.”
It is something I learned to understand.

It shaped how I think.
How I learn.
How I communicate.

For over 10 years, I was a foster carer, supporting young people through some of the most challenging chapters of their lives. That experience deepened my understanding of behaviour, emotion, and the power of feeling truly seen.

Over time, I realised something important:
When people feel understood, everything changes.

What I Believe

Neurodivergence is not a weakness.

It is not something to fix.
It is something to understand.

When we understand how a brain works, we stop fighting against it – and start working with it.

I believe:
• Confidence grows from clarity
• Behaviour makes sense when we look beneath it
• Every person has strengths worth recognising
• Support should feel calm, practical and steady

You don’t need pressure.
You need understanding.

How I Work

Small talk is not my strongest skill.

But meaningful conversations?
I could talk for hours.

I love exploring ideas that challenge assumptions.
I love helping people see what they hadn’t noticed before.
I love watching someone realise their own capability.

My approach is direct, honest and compassionate.

I will listen carefully.
I will challenge gently.
I will support consistently.

And yes – I am, as my children say, “a bit mad as a box of frogs.”
But that playful, curious side is part of what makes this work human and real.

My Experience & Background

• 30+ years coaching experience
• 10 years as a foster carer
• Specialist work with neurodivergent young people and adults
• Extensive practical experience supporting families and leaders

This work is not theoretical for me.

It is lived, experienced and deeply understood.

“Tamzin is the most humble person in the world. A fantastic friend who offers compassion, companionship, loyalty and love – an honest, down-to-earth person who will advise you but never force you. She guides and nurtures, and more importantly, she is the most amazing friend.”
— Janie Williams
